Company intelligence: separating a pipeline from a valuation
Zealand Pharma provides a case study in how we will read listed peptide businesses.
The verified company record
Zealand Pharma identifies its listing as Nasdaq Copenhagen, ticker ZEAL. Its investor page links its 2025 annual report and identifies financial reports and stock information as separate records. Listing information is not an endorsement of the company or its securities.
The asset and the partner
Zealand describes petrelintide as an investigational long-acting amylin analogue. It reports a March 2025 collaboration with Roche to develop and commercialize petrelintide and combination products. Its pipeline page states that phase 2 ZUPREME-2 topline results were reported in October 2026 and that phase 3 initiation was planned for the second half of 2026. That is a company-reported plan, not confirmation that recruitment has begun. The company states that petrelintide is not approved for marketing by any regulator.
Our interpretation
Editorial interpretation
A partnership announcement, a trial result and an approved medicine answer different questions. Our coverage will separate scientific evidence, ownership and economics, financing, and regulatory status. Company language such as best-in-class will be attributed rather than adopted. We will not infer a share-price target from a trial headline or treat a planned milestone as achieved.
Next diligence checkpoint
Editorial checkpoint
Before adding a valuation table we will verify dated cash, debt, cash-flow, share-count and contractual-rights figures from financial statements and exchange filings. This issue contains no valuation, price forecast or investment recommendation. Owner holdings and conflicts must be disclosed before public release; no assumption of zero holdings has been made.
Educational reporting only. Trial findings do not constitute medical advice or regulatory authorization. Company disclosures are interested-party sources; this is not an investment recommendation. Send corrections to hello@peptidecheat.com.
